ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)

A subdivision of CBT, this Therapy is focused on positive thinking and mindfulness. Excellent for people of all walks ACT is premised on the DNA-V model. The Discoverer(D) , Noticer (N) and Analyser (A) are grounded in the Values(V) of the person.

Come listen to Dr Louise Hayes, writer of a seminal book on ACT. Her second time in Singapore. ACT advocates an opportunity to be in the here and now with your client and develop a mindfulness approach to helping your client overcome obstacles faced. Dr. Louise Hayes, author of Thriving Adolescent, will introduce ACT and its approach to working with young people to develop a safe and effective therapeutic relationship.
